 I approached this watercolor of the Kotel with the intention of capturing not just the physical structure, but the atmosphere and emotion that this sacred space evokes. I was drawn to the way the light of the setting sun bathes the Wall and its surroundings in warm, golden hues, creating a soft yet powerful contrast between the enduring stones and the vibrant sky. This interplay of color and texture became the heart of the piece.

The fluidity of watercolor allowed me to bring a sense of movement and life to the scene—blurring the lines between the stone, the sky, and the trees to reflect the timeless connection between the natural and the spiritual. I kept the figures in the foreground small and understated, focusing instead on the immensity of the Wall and its historical presence.
